Beyond the Classroom
At the Center of the Chabad World
Hadar Hatorah is located in the heart of Crown Heights, Brooklyn—one of the most vibrant Jewish neighborhoods in the world. Living here means you aren't just studying a lifestyle; you are immersed in it.
-
Steps from 770: Located just half a block from Lubavitch World Headquarters, you have 24/7 access to the Rebbe’s Shul for davening, learning, and Farbrengens.
-
A Global Hub: You will be part of a diverse network of students and Chassidim from every corner of the globe.
-
The Neighborhood: From the local shops and kosher eateries on Kingston Avenue to the neighborhood libraries, everything you need is within walking distance.
Beyond the Classroom
We believe that Torah is meant to be lived. Our program includes opportunities to apply what you learn and connect with the broader community.
-
Shabbat in the Community: Every week, students are hosted by local Crown Heights families for Shabbat meals. This is a chance to build real relationships and experience the warmth of a traditional Chassidic home.
- Outreach (Mivtzoim): On Fridays, students head into New York City to help other Jews connect with their heritage—whether by wrapping Tefillin, sharing Shabbat candles, or discussing the weekly Torah portion.
-
Student Contribution: We encourage you to bring your own talents to the Yeshivah. Whether you play an instrument, have a knack for social media, or want to help organize events, your unique skills help make Hadar Hatorah what it is.

Flexible Ways to Join
While many students join us for full-time study, we offer several entry points for those with limited time:
-
Yeshivahcation: A high-energy, 10-day winter program in late December, primarily geared toward college students on break who want a "taste" of Yeshivah life.
- Summer in the Catskills: Two months of immersive learning and recreation in the mountains, including hikes, sports, and bonfires.
-
Short-Term Stays: Our doors are always open for those who want to visit for a weekend, a week, or a month.
