Rabbi Jacob J Hecht O.B.M.

The legendary head of the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education, amongst the innumerable projects he headed, helping Jews of all persuasions, was his role in Hadar Hatorah, the world's first Yeshiva for people rediscovering their Jewish roots.

Together with its' beloved founder, Rabbi Yisroel Jacobson O.B.M., JJ played a pivotal role in the Yeshiva which was renamed Yeshivas Kol Yaakov Yehudah - Hadar Hatorah in recognition of his efforts and devotion to the Yeshiva and its students.

Rabbi Yaakov Goldberg

Rosh Yeshiva

Handpicked by the Lubavitcher Rebbe to lead Hadar Hatorah, Rabbi Goldberg continues a family tradition of Torah learning and involvement in the Jewish Community, bringing a lifetime's experience to Hadar Hatorah.

Rabbi Yosef Boruch Wircberg


Provider of personal spiritual advice and guidance to students.

Himself an alumnus of Hadar Hatorah and having studied for many years in Chabad Yeshivas, he teaches several classes a day.  He organizes regular farbrengens, Chasidic gatherings to inspire and foster a warm atmosphere between all members of the Yeshiva.

Rabbi Yaakov Osdoba


Grew up in Crown Heights and after many years studying in Yeshiva, returned to Crown Heights again to teach in Hadar Hatorah.

Rabbi Osdoba teaches classes in the mornings, and is on hand in the afternoons to advise students and supervise the afternoon review session.

Rabbi Shea Hecht

Executive Director

Renowned cultbuster and community social activist, Shea joins the Yeshiva for the Summer Program in the Catskill Mountains.

He teaches a very popular class on the Jewish approach to Love and Marriage.

Rabbi Yitzchok Tsap

Two of the most popular classes in the yeshiva are given by Rabbi Tsap, who also acts as mentor and friend for new students.

Yaakov Silberstein


He oversees the day-to-day administration of the Yeshiva, recruits new students and provides the administrative and financial support needed to keep the Yeshiva running smoothly.

Yaakov organizes the YeshivaCation programs and is always on hand to provide a friendly face to the students and staff of Hadar Hatorah.

Rabbi Levi Garelik

His lectures and classes for the YeshivaCation program have proved enormously popular in the past.  He lectures on Kashrut, Moshiach and Redemption and other relevant issues.

Harav Avrohom Osdoba shlita

A member of the Crown Heights Beth Din, or Rabbinical Court.

He lectures regularly at Hadar Hatorah, teaching advanced level Gemorah and Shulchan Aruch classes, which have been running for 40 years.

Rav Osdoba also gives a series of lectures annually at Pesach.
